ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN FOR AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY
As an electronics technician technology for automation technology you will assemble
and
install process control systems and power distribution plants. You will be responsible for detecting
and eliminating errors in process control system components and equipment. You will document your work
and use programmable systems as well as computer-supported process control systems in automation technology.
The apprenticeship
You will receive basic training
to prepare you for your job as electronics technician in our training center. You will learn the basics
of electro- and electronics technology, with a focus on measuring and testing technology. You will have
the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge during the training periods in our company. Your
apprenticeship includes a final examination by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Your Profile
- Good high school grade point average
- Interest in electro- and electronics technology and physics
- Good math skills
- Good ability to differentiate color

Length of the Program
It normally takes 3.5 years
to complete the apprenticeship program, although the program can be completed in 3 years if you study
effectively.
Apprenticeship compensation in the State of Hesse (as of March 2007):
- year of the program: € 645 per month
- year of the program: € 708 per month
- year of the program: € 785 per month
- year of the program:
€ 857 per month
